The Hair Forge: The Sequel Nobody Saw Coming (But Everybody Needed)

You know that feeling when you open your fridge, find leftovers from three months ago, and think, “Oh wow… I totally forgot about that”? (Happens a lot in this house!)

Yeah. That’s kind of what happened with our blog.

But before you start thinking The Hair Forge ghosted you like a bad Tinder date — let me explain. We didn’t disappear. We just got caught up in that full-contact sport known as life.

Let’s start with our founder, Tracy Douglas. When she’s not running The Hair Forge, she’s busy as a full-time therapist helping people get their heads on straight — literally and figuratively.

She also launched Kith & Kinship (www.kithandkinship.com ), a heartfelt digital heirloom business that preserves family recipes through video keepsakes. It’s like if ancestry.com and Food Network had a beautifully sentimental baby.

Max Jarzen dove headfirst into entrepreneurship classes at UW-Whitewater, sharpening the business side of this hair-raising adventure. Rider Jarzen has been working in the mental health field and got married, proving that balance between love and life actually exists.  Of course, he has some pretty cool role models. Did I say that?

And Jeremiah Mansavage? My nephew decided to take a short break from hair clips and headbands to join the U.S. Army. Talk about a hard pivot. We salute him..

Last but not least, and maybe not a direct family member, but she sure does feel like family– Heidi Crull, our hair stylist. The one who designs and creates the hairstyles for our models (Max and Rider, Jeremiah when he comes back and other up and coming additions with amazing ass hair!) and guides us through all the do’s and don’ts of hair. Oh, yeah, and she owns her own hair salon in Janesville, https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063621638760

As for me — Robert Jarzen, Creative Director — I recently got “liberated” from a corporate gig after 15 years of creating marketing campaigns, videos, and content for major clients like Chevrolet and for other high-end clients of America’s 2nd largest radio group and the entire Midwest region. So instead of sulking, I did what any caffeine-fueled creative would do — I jumped back into The Hair Forge full-time. ( www.robertjarzen.com )

If you’ve been with us since the beginning, you’ll remember we were the first U.S.-based business dedicated solely to men’s hair accessories — and yes, we even took our style all the way to the GRAMMYs. Not bad for a small crew out of Janesville, Wisconsin, right?

So why the long silence?( –really only 9 months, but 9 months in the digital age can leave your head spinning. ) Well, life happened. We worked, studied, healed, created, got married, changed uniforms, and somewhere in all that chaos, we remembered why we started The Hair Forge in the first place.

Now? We’re back — stronger, sharper, and ready to make some noise again. And with some new partners, new ideas, new assets and more space in the garage!

This isn’t a comeback. It’s a continuation.
The story didn’t end. It just got a better plot twist.

So, buckle up. The Hair Forge 2.0 has entered the chat.
